Research observatory for promoting interdisciplinary researches on natural resources (water, earth resources, plants, organisms...) potentially submitted to an anthropic impact. Department of the University of Rennes 1.

Research structure of fundamental research employing more than 250 researchers from CNRS, Inra and universities working on:
- The impact of diffuse pollution on water quality in watersheds.
- The response of biodiversity under environmental stresses and human activities.
- The quantification of groundwater and mineral resources and the evaluation of the consequences of deep waste disposal.
- The durability of agricultural systems, the consequence of landscape mutation, on water, soil and biodiversity.
- Global change from local to global scale.
- Environmental genomics, adaptation and evolution.
- Environmental systems (continental ecosystems, productions and resources).
