2O Innovation raises 700,000 euros
The 2Ô Innovation company in Rennes, which specialises in the recycling of polluted water, has recently increased its equity by 700,000 euros thanks to an investment by the development capital company Nef Capital Éthique Management, making it a major shareholder.
2Ô Innovation, which employs six people, markets “turnkey” systems and customised products to optimise water consumption in industry and public agencies. Its technology enables the repeated re-use of water after an industrial process has removed pollution from it. The company is currently benefitting from increased awareness on the part of industrialists of the need to preserve water resources and of the risk of shutdown for their production units if they do not comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. In 2011, 2Ô Innovation’s turnover increased by more than 60% to almost one million euros.Recently, one of the main supermarket chains on the outskirts of Rennes introduced the system for its car washes. The system will make it possible to recycle 75% of wastewater i.e. 1,560 cu. metres a year. For Jacques Favier, Managing Director of Nef Capital Éthique Management, and Frédéric Garidou, Investment Director, “2Ô Innovation is a company which, by using technologically simple systems, provides companies and local authorities with a really intelligent way of managing their water use. We are convinced that the overall approach introduced by Cédric Fontaine and his team will result in very real environmental and financial benefits”.
