Happy Blue Fish, a studio in Saint-Malo, has recently signed an agreement with the American Fingerprint company, a mobile learning and leisure platform for children.
The partnership will lead to six of the company’s children’s games being included in the Fingerprint catalogue. The educational games applications from The Deskplorers range will therefore be distributed on the American continent and will benefit from Fingerprint’s reputation.
“We were looking for a partner in the USA to increase the circulation of our games. In Fingerprint, we found values that reflected our own aim to develop games which make children happy to learn,” said Dominique Busso, founder and CEO of Happy Blue Fish.
Set up in Saint-Malo in July 2009, the Happy Blue Fish studio designs, produces and publishes online video games for the general public. It develops its own educational games for children and for all the family, as well as games for leading publishers such as Hachette and France Télévision.
The studio currently employs five people on long-term contracts but it regularly uses freelance artists to complete its team, depending on the project. To increase the circulation of its games, the company will be taking on a Marketing Manager in the next few weeks and it intends to recruit a further dozen staff in 2013.
