NewLC is joining the Wedia group

NewLC recently joined the Wedia Group, 12 months after another company from Rennes. Both operate within Wedia Mobile. Through the takeover, the group has consolidated the position of its mobile centre in Rennes.

The combined expertise of Wokup in mobile Internet and NewLC in the development of apps has led to the creation of a team of more than twenty people with extensive knowledge in the development of hybrid, native and/or HTML5 apps. The complementary nature of their expertise will enable them to rise to the various challenges resulting from the fragmentation of mobile environments. Both teams will be working together in a few weeks’ time, from the same premises on Rennes Atalante Beaulieu.
Set up in 2004, NewLC pioneered the development of mobile apps in France. It developed numerous complex applications for innovative players in France and Europe and its client base includes names such as Apple, Deezer, Motorola, Nokia, NXP Solutions, Orange, SFR, Symbian, Vivalto Santé etc. The seven people in the NewLC team can work on all the main mobile OS (iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, Symbian/Qt, Bada, Blackberry).
Wedia (70 staff) is one of France’s leading editors in the field of Marketing Asset Management software. With premises in France (Paris and Rennes), Scandinavia (Göteborg) and the USA (San Francisco), the group aims to become a European benchmark in its particular field.
