“We are absolutely delighted to have teamed up with Hype Foundation and proud of this international recognition. The nomination will enhance our visibility with our international partners and boost our international development. It’s also a hugely encouraging sign which makes us even more determined to bring this project to fruition” states the Tech4Race team. (©Tech4Race)

Tech4Race has just been nominated as one of the Top 50 Most Innovative Sports Start-ups by Hype Foundation, which promotes entrepreneurship and tech innovation around sport.

Every year, the list is drawn up by a jury of sports industry leaders, major sports brand CEOs, athletes and well-known “tech” personalities. The foundation belongs to the MG Equity investment group and its partners include Accenture, Google, Microsoft or Team Sky.

Tech4Race is the only French start-up nominated in the Top 50, which gives access to the Hype Foundation support program, and to its vast network of sports majors and professionals. It will have the opportunity to develop business contacts at major international sporting events such as: the UEFA Champions League Final, the British Golf Open at Royal Birkdale or the Boston Marathon. These events give nominated start-ups a golden opportunity to present their solutions to a panel of investors and representatives of major global brands.

Tech4Race was founded in July 2016 by Fabien Letort and Adrien Savary and provides a real-time monitoring tool for outdoor sporting events such as running, triathlons, cycling, nautical sports, or golf, by GPS tracking all the participants. At the end of March, the Rennes-based start-up launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Gwenneg platform.

“A funding boost would help us speed up the implementation of our projects and develop more advanced features. We need to improve our visibility by taking part in trade fairs and carrying out more tests.” explains Anaïs Ducloyer, Tech4Race Head of communications.
